Consumer health data privacy policy

How PairOx Pty Ltd, which runs AltScape, handles consumer health data as Washington's My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) and similar laws define it. It adds to our privacy policy.

Last updated: 5 November 2026

In short

  • We collect health-related data only for features you choose, such as daily check-ins and the AI companion, and for safety checks.
  • We never sell it and never share it with third parties. Our service providers process it only for us.
  • You can get a copy, have it deleted or withdraw your consent at any time.

A plain-language summary. The full text below is what applies.

1. Consumer health data we collect

We collect these categories, only when you use the feature concerned:

  • Check-in moods and energy: what you write in a daily check-in, and the short summary of your mood and energy level that the AI infers from your answers each time you check in.
  • Feelings you share with the AI companion: what you tell the companion about how you feel.
  • Safety signals: signs that you may be at risk of self-harm, which our automated safety checks infer from check-ins, companion chats, messages to your partner and world descriptions.

2. Why we collect it and how we use it

We use it to provide the features you asked for: the daily check-in, the companion's replies, the daily suggestion and, if AI Memory Storage is on, the companion's memories. We use safety signals to show you where to find help and to flag a conversation for our team to review. We never use consumer health data for advertising, and we never sell it.

3. Where it comes from

From you, when you use these features. Some of it is inferred from what you write: the AI infers the mood and energy summary of each daily check-in from your answers, and our automated safety checks infer safety signals.

4. Who we share it with

We do not share consumer health data with third parties or affiliates. These service providers process it for us under written contracts, only to provide the features above: Anthropic (Claude), which writes companion and check-in replies; OpenAI, which runs our safety checks and memory search; and Supabase, which hosts our database. We disclose it to authorities only where the law requires, for example to comply with a valid court order.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to confirm whether we collect or share your consumer health data, to give you a copy and a list of everyone it was shared with (today, no one), and to delete it (we also have our service providers delete it), and you can withdraw your consent. To make a request, email privacy@altscape.ai from the address on your account, or use Download my data and Delete account in Settings. We answer within 45 days; if we need longer, we will tell you why and take at most 45 more days. Requests are free, up to twice a year.

7. Appeals

If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or by emailing privacy@altscape.ai with the word Appeal in the subject. We will answer within 45 days and explain our decision in writing. If we deny your appeal, you can complain to the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
