Terms of service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use AltScape. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

You are responsible for keeping your login details safe. Do not share your account with others. You can delete your account at any time in Settings on the web or in Profile → Settings in the app. Deletion is permanent: once you confirm, it can't be cancelled or undone. If you can't sign in, email privacy@altscape.ai from your account's email address.

Be kind. Do not harass, abuse, or discriminate against others. Do not upload illegal, hateful, or sexually explicit content. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules. If we remove your content, you can appeal the decision in Safety → Appeals on the web, or in Profile → Help & support → My appeals in the app.

You keep ownership of the photos, voice notes, and text you share. By sharing them in AltScape, you grant us a limited licence to host and display them to the people you choose to share with, and to have the service providers named in our Privacy Policy, such as our AI providers, process them so the Services can work.

AltScape's only paid offering is the Couple Premium subscription, which unlocks premium features for both partners in your pair. Couple Premium is available monthly or annually. New subscribers can get a 7-day free trial, once: the App Store or Google Play decides who is eligible there, and on the web it applies only if neither you nor your couple has subscribed before. After the trial it renews automatically at the price shown at purchase until you cancel. One subscription covers both of you. You can cancel anytime — on mobile through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, and on the web through the billing portal linked in your account. Purchases made through the app stores are billed and managed by Apple or Google under their terms; web purchases are billed via Stripe. Prices include applicable taxes where collected. Renewal charges are final unless a refund is required by law — see our Refund Policy for details.

On the web, prices are set in US dollars: US$11.99 a month or US$59.99 a year. At checkout, our payment provider Stripe may show the price in your local currency; you can still choose to pay in US dollars. If you pay in your local currency, Stripe converts the US-dollar price for each payment, including renewals, at its own exchange rate, which includes a currency conversion fee, so the amount in your currency can vary from one payment to the next. In the App Store and Google Play, the store shows you the price for your country, usually in your local currency, and charges that price.

AltScape is provided "as is". We do our best to keep the service safe and available, but we are not liable for indirect damages arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in this section limits your consumer rights (section 8).

Nothing in our Terms of Service or Refund Policy excludes, restricts or changes the rights you have as a consumer under laws that can't be excluded by contract. For example: the consumer guarantees of the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010), such as that services are supplied with due care and skill, and, for a major failure, your right to cancel and get a refund for the unused part or compensation for the drop in value; the guarantees of New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act 1993; and your rights for digital content and services under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the consumer law of your EU or EEA country. Where either document says we are not liable for something, or that a payment can't be refunded, that applies only as far as those laws allow. If you think one of these rights applies, contact us, however you subscribed.

Our Terms of Service and Refund Policy are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. If you are a consumer, this choice doesn't take away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, for example in the EU, the EEA or the UK. You can bring a claim in the courts of New South Wales or, where your local law allows it, in the courts where you live; consumers in the EU and the UK can always do so.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We will notify you of material changes inside the app or by email.
